Salzburg Festvial

The Salzburg Festival is the cultural highlight of the year. Every year guests from all over the world come to Salzburg to visit the first-class concerts and performances and to experience the city’s baroque charm.

The Salzburg Festival is inextricably linked with the play “Jedermann” (Everyman) by Hugo von Hofmannsthal. The play premiered in 1920 at the first ever Salzburg Festival in front of Salzburg Cathedral. The story of “The play about the rich man’s death” has been performed annually, ever since, at the same venue (except for during the war). Continue reading
