Only the very best ingredients from the local region are used in the food at the castle hotel. Fishermen take their catches of fresh trout directly to the hotel in Mondsee every day.  The kitchen team is acquainted with the local farmers and know where they can obtain the best meat. Regional suppliers bring fresh fruit and vegetables to the kitchen and some of the herbs used even come from our own garden.

The Restaurant Schlossgewölbe at the Hotel Schloss Mondsee is located close to the lake and in fine weather, you can dine on the terrace in the atmospheric castle garden. Enjoy dinner in our magnificent garden with the trickling of the fountain in the background. Of course, a good drop of wine is essential too. Our wines come from our own Vineyard Stift Göttweig.

This former kitchen of the Benedictine monks has been transformed into a romantic spot. You can enjoy culinary diversity in a historic ambience here. If you are looking to enjoy some romantic time together, the Mönchsküche can be booked for you and your partner to use alone. Marriage proposals have also been made here!
