Winterwonderland in the Schloss Mondsee

From 13 November 2026, the castle courtyard of Schlosshotel Mondsee transforms into a sparkling Christmas winter wonderland. Magical festive lights, entertaining live acts, seasonal aromas, and atmospheric music create a truly enchanting Christmas ambiance. Enjoy gourmet delights from the show kitchen, warming mulled wine at Benediktus, creative festive cocktails at the Castello Bar, and relax in the cozy winter lounge—guaranteed to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Tip: The entrance to the castle courtyard is located directly next to the Mondsee Advent Market. Combine your visit by strolling through the traditional Christmas market first, then spend the evening enjoying the winter wonderland at the castle.

The Turn- und Sportverein Mondsee has been inviting people to the annual Perchtenlauf across the church square in Mondsee for 20 years. 6 passes from the surrounding area with a total of over 150 Perchten chase across the village square with hand-carved Perchten masks.

Christmas tree diving in Mondsee

A torchlight procession, accompanied by music, marches from the Advent market to the bay at Mondsee. Once there, divers from the Mondsee Water Rescue Service will retrieve brightly lit Christmas trees from the depths of Mondsee and then, together with Neptune, distribute sweets to the children.
